I like your poem, questioning your own thoughts is poetry, others may analyze them, but you write. Bobby Ferguson3 hours ago I like this, your thoughts may make you question, but remember, and rightly so, we are all different and need to be, other may find what you question very understandable, (easy to relate to) we don't all like the same books or music, I understand where you are with this, we all need to be in that place, It's where we find thoughts, I like this, well done.

Very Relatable To Myself Chris Gordon3 hours ago I really like the way this is written as well as what the poem is speaking about. I have trouble writing poetry sometimes because it just seems like a game of conformity, like the poem has to be written in a certain correct way when that's not true at all.

You talk to yourself and invite the reader to share your thoughts. Poetry is when you've edited your thoughts, created a brilliant sequence of phrases, or merely the commonplace, then presented it because you think it's worth sharing. What you do in the thoughtful stage may not be considered as a finished work, merely a draft with a few rhymes. When I write, I choose the 8,6,8,6 rhyming style because it helps me get the job done. It isn't the best of the best, just the jist that does the job. Your style is musing over the words and phrases and ideas. So you're used to this style. If ever you wish to adopt the 8,6,8,6 style, then maybe you'll make compromises you don't want. That's your poetic licence, your freedom of speech, your portion, your gift, So feel free to explore. Feel free to expand, because pretty soon, the creative process enhances your desire to write more and share more. Poetry is all about the sharing... You've shared almost 900 works already.
