Remembering... it builds up tremendous atmosphere before it ends. A lovely poem

The words in the parenthesis are the best of all! Loved the title of the poem too.

Hoping and anticipating with nostalgia and uncertainty. All so subtle said without any sentimentally. 'farm fresh brown eggs rest in a bowl'... so representative of potential life. A wonderful sense in your words. Adrian

This is a great Blues poem because the sadness is matched by the sweetness. My memory raced over the decades and I found parallel experiences that entered my mind refreshed by words and did not bring sadness but the awareness of a life replete with good things. Of course, I wish they had been better still vbut I too to will learn to rejoice in what good I did receive.
