Very tame and reserved for a poem about money. Clearly on a 'saving' streak.
Fair enough. If you write a poem about money I would like to read it. Thanks.
Amazing poem. Practical guide for a middle class person about how to use his savings or money in a judicious manner. It's nice that you have shared what you have learnt trough your first-hand experience: Buying expensive goods.... Impulse buying is not all that it seems. I have never had a credit card, never had an overdraft.
A very encouraging assessment, thanks. I did base this on personal experience throughout a lifetime. I have usually bought wisely, but I have made plenty of mistakes too. I find extra care is needed around buying a car or, say, a lounge suite. I find grocery shopping easy. Happy Easter.
Money is there to save for the future, more so than spending in the present I think. Who respects a spendthrift? But who wants to know a miser like Scrooge? ........these beginning lines are to the point. It is really a beautiful poem with right information. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for such a perceptive assessment and quoting the most significant lines. It is all grounded on personal experience with money all my life.
The secret is to avoid the two extremes. Buy things which you like, think about it before swiping the plastic fantastic..../// yeah; absolutely wrote
A poem which imparts great advice...to sleep on it...impulse buying can be disastrous. There is a happy medium. It can be almost impossible to save money these days...so I'm a fan of compulsive savings, such as kiwisaver. No plastic credit card for me...just couldn't afford it.
You make a very astute comment. Dealing with money is hard, but you cannot avoid it. I was a little late to join the kiwisaver, now I wish I had. The ideal which I strive for is the 'happy medium'-between saving and spending.
