What is our bodily energy
That's found in you and me?
It's also virtually everywhere,
Animate or inanimate, in every matter.
The Chinese call energy qi or chi,
And the Japanese, ki.
In Sanskrit it's prana -
The energy source for all animals and plants.
Qi, or energy, is everywhere,
There's even some in your hair.
The energy sets you free -
Moving, it never does cease,
Like perpetual waves rolling on the sea.
In the Cosmos, qi is the energy universal:
Our Sun has no fire but the sunlight
To all things on Earth gives life!
There's no actual fire inside our own body,
But each of us is a spark of energy -
We are always warm, radiating heat, light or bio-photons.
Qi constantly circulates inside our body,
Along meridians that are channels of energy.
Qi is a subtle element; it has no physical form,
But a sensitive person can feel its warmth,
Pressure and minute electromagnetic property.
Qi enhances the flow of blood and nutrients,
Our immunity system qi can strengthen;
Qi toughens our bones and muscles -
Only if you know how to train your qi.
Qi can help you overcome pathogenic invasion;
You can enhance and train your qi stronger
Through breath control, maintaining posture proper,
And using seated or standing meditation.
These are stories true,
For I've been learning kungfu and qigong for self health-care
For over twenty years
Under six or seven sifu's.
Quite easily, an old true martial arts qi master
The younger, faster, stronger challengers can conquer.
Equally, a competent qi healer can send his internal energy
Externally to heal sick patients, to aid in their speedy recovery.
