What is in Cchayavad?
Who the Cchayavadi poets?
I do not know it
Nor do the professing ones say it about
Their art and craft.

A spirit lay it therein surely
Without which they could not have been
Cchayavadis,
A new idea, a fervour,
A trend, a style gave them an impetus of their
Which they might have after reading the English.

And under the shadow of the Western art and learning
They could have their Cchayavad
Otherwise the spirit would not have dawned in
And something would not have ailed their self
For an emotional outburst so individual and personal
Rather than classical and godly,
I mean the folk and rural matters,
The new romantic spirit endowing with.
