This is a fine, imaginative, poem with, alas, one slight error in English usage. In the 11th line, the word Could should be changed to Were. Perhaps, even better, that line should read, Could not make the king awake.

The first eight lines of the poem are fantastic. The poet needs to work on the other lines and makenit meaningful.
