What If In Case? Poem by Emmanuel Asiedu Agyemang

What If In Case?

In twilight's hush, where shadows dance and play,
What if the winds of fortune shift away?
If anchors of trust prove false, and break,
And guiding stars reveal a different make?

If secret gardens hide a serpent's sway,
And whispers of loved ones turn to disarray,
If paths unwinding lead to endless gray,
And dreams, like sandcastles, melt away.

Yet, in the heart, a spark remains aglow,
A hidden ember, waiting to bestow
An alternative route, a phoenix-like rebirth,
A new direction, like a secret earth.

So let the wise prepare for unexpected night,
And hold a lantern for the unknown light.
