Daniel, you are the gallant white knight of poetry! This is absolutely beautifully mind-blowing. You are soooooooooo not stuck in a rut either in topic or in style or in word-choice or in tone. You always stimulate the senses and the imagination and the intelligence of your reader. On my fav list and I give this a gazillion 10's streaking across the night sky.
A thought-provoking poem, Daniel. Somehow it has reminded me of The Langoliers. Do you know the story?
The Langoliers were eating space shifted into the past. I don't know why I have connected these images, just a thought.
What if....don't we often say it? Daniel though you have classified your poem as a fantasy but it's above that. It's a call to be prepared for the worst, a call for unity in the face of dangers to life on earth, a call to keep our creativity flowing. How you have used the images of Time and Space is very creative. But these are not meant to be taken literally, rather they are used metaphorically. Yes, we must prevent the space from eroding and time from running dry. We must not let our spirit rot. We must be awake physically and spiritually. A huge 10.
