What Have I Got? Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

What Have I Got?

Rating: 5.0

The poor beggar
Leads his life
Honestly and sincerely,
Poverty always pervades him,
One night he emotionally asks himself
In his dream,
"What have I got in my life? "
Someone answers him from within,
"You have got
The most precious things of a life...
Great mind,
Great heart
And great soul; "
The honest beggar falls deep asleep.

When you call one a beggar he has to be naturally poor he sleeps on the pavements as he has nothing on him to lose you know some beggars are very rich they come in Cadillac from home change into tattered clothes and let the car driver go then sit under a lone tree beg silently At closing hours comes the driver.. clean change and back home lays peacefully..in an AC Room He has a secret profession wife brings a glass of cold curds ice added more please it was hot today

Lovely truth in simple words. Real treasure is sound sleep which is purely simple. Admirations.
