Slowly pain emerges
Once happy smiles
Follow by a hundred miles
The heavy bag
Easiest weight you drag
The pressure gets stronger
Each day becoming a bother
Nobody sees the struggle
Covered by trouble
Acting out in class
Just to cover the glass
Your heart fragile
Mindset agile
Pushing through the pain
All down the drain
You say goodnight
Your parents unaware
The horrid fate
Lights go off
Your brain turns on
Nobody knows you're gone
Your brother comes in your room
Wishing he would've earlier
He screams in shock
Then in pain
Your mother comes running
Not fully comprehending
Followed by your father
Angry about the bother
Their jaws drop in shock
Eyes widen like hawks
They never saw past the smiles
The mask of happiness hid the miles
They stare at old photos
Refusing to let go
Trying to spot a single woe
Your best friend finds out
She tries to doubt
Constantly raking her mind for clues
Blaming herself for letting you bruise
Your clothes untouched
Your assignments rushed
Dirty clothes on the floor
Your father would get mad before
Your friends talk
Strangers talk
They call it selfish
Brave
Some call it evil
Others call it easy
But they don't know
The pain behind your happy eyes
Nor how hard you tried
Our worries scramble
It makes us ramble
Heads falling in dismay
Eyes turning gray
The ground look harder
The sky looks darker
The house feels colder
Memories grow older
Everyone sits in silence
Suppressing the violence
Your mother's hands tremble
Her sanity starts to crumble
Your dad stares at the door
Expecting you to walk in once more
Your brother keeps asking why
You left without a cry
Friends start derailing
Hangouts start failing
The silence louder than your cries
Deep down inside
Everyone is wondering why you died
