What Color Is Your Headstone? Poem by Panagiota Romios

What Color Is Your Headstone?

Rating: 5.0

Is it marble or bronze that glistens brightly in the sun?
With factoids all about you for everyone?

Is it a small marker or something more grandiose?
Like upright or sculptured, I am not trying to be morose.

My headstone will be here for all eternity!
My poems are neither great masterpieces nor brimming with wit,
but they do tell the story of me.

My wish is to be in a beautiful urn one day.
In my daughter's lovely house in loving, yet respectful display.

Hi Kingsley. Here in the USA, people spend fortunes on grave markers. A legacy of writing beats that. Thank you for the 10. PR
