What Changes Await? Poem by Mohammed Abideen Oluwalonsola

What Changes Await?

Rating: 5.0

We're scared and frightened; Not yet a year, but felt like decades
This is the first in year where Gaari is sold in Thousand
Living the life where life held us hostage without a gun
What kind of life has this become?
A body with lots of dough, and look broken
An unexpected life that we despise
This change of life is where I began to write
Writing about darkness and poverty
It feel like am blind and pauper
I don't know if we should be sorry but I know we shouldn't leave without a word
