What Can We Say We Have Not Said Before? Poem by Brett White

What Can We Say We Have Not Said Before?

What can we say we have not said before?
It's always the fading sunset I adore;
It fades so quickly, you blink and it's gone.
Forever held inside, your favorite song,
Playing freely in the early morning, -
With the Sun, on this day, adorning
The World with Life and the sweetest gift,
Relief through the Light, and I hope it's swift.
The World turns thus despite protestations,
Spinning a million years, Her rotations
Spin Forevermore. A Beacon of Light
Softly falls upon a patch of twilight,
Gently illuminating all we hold dear;
And through the Crystal Light, one thing is clear:
With God by your side, you shall never fail,
Feel remorse, or let evil thoughts assail.
And I cannot in so many words say,
Any one of the feelings my thoughts convey,
Projected like an old video on the wall,
And I will walk but first I shall crawl,
Finding balance after having lost it all,
And having nothing there to brace my fall.
Integrity is built through our errors,
And in Life, there are not any jurors,
Only ourselves to hold ourselves true.
The close manner in which I held you.
In the race of Life we acquiesce,
To our moral precedence or compass,
When the Light, often blurred, still shines...

A great philosophical poem on life. There is no alternative than to take shelter in His feet. If you have belief in Him He will take you through all tribulations safely. Nice poem with sweet rhyming and flow. Thanks for sharing.
