What Can Bring Back Smile On His Face? (A Poem On Alzheimer's) Poem by RADHAKRISHNAN KRISHNAN

What Can Bring Back Smile On His Face? (A Poem On Alzheimer's)

Fog wrapped around his mind,
Tattered thoughts refused to unwind,
He starred around with a blank eyes,
For him, existence of Sun or Moon is a lie.

Comfort of nostalgia is mercilessly denied,
Green postures of life withered away & dried,
A farewell function before event inevitable,
Long premature grieving of self, irrevocable.

A vanishing line between life and death,
Bright morn to darkness, while at breath,
A journey to Land Of Nowhere at snail's pace,
What can bring back a smile in his face?

He can't remember, but he can surely feel,
With caring heart, with him you make a deal,
Give him your love and give him utmost care,
Let him feel that you are always there.
