"He's lost it", they said.
"He's mental", they whispered.
No one cared about what led to it,
The overwork, the stress,
The constant criticisms,
The toxic work mates,
The politics of promotion,
So many little things
That build up over time
And make a man question
His very existence.
No one bothers to see
What lies behind the smile,
The pain hiding in the laugh,
The world only sees the mask.
