What age steals it keeps that is true that is so! yes so true...... when we are young somehow we think we will not become old......but.....great truth dear poet. tony
Why Dorsey, you make age sound positively beastly! I'd rather think about what age GIVES (hopefully) : wisdom, mellowness, patience, contentment, time to stop and smell the roses, freedom from youthful angst, and (hopefully) someday, grandchildren! P.S. to Hannah: Grey hairs can always be coloured and covered over! :)
This is a very clever poem...age it comes like a thief in the night..and leaves you with one more grey hair in the morning.
it reminds me of a painter that takes out a blank canvas. In it he uses all sorts of paint to demonstrate his love for his craft. Colorization throughout his experience leaving the outcome to his adoring fans. Such as rapping or poetry same illustration is initiated to demonstrate the glory of his craft
Yes age has stolen all gave only sweet memories, a touching poem.
