What A Relief Poem by Deluke Muwanigwa

What A Relief

Rating: 5.0

What a relief

What a relief
I wrote a poem today
I was in grief
Having so many things to say
But not finding my mojo
Feeling constrained
Like i really wanted to go
But heavily constipated
As man cannot live on bread alone
But on every word as the saying goes
I need to write poetry to atone
For the many times i am in the throes
Of sadness
Hatred
Madness
And when i feel tired.
Tired of the wickedness of this world
For within poetry is release
Feeling better with very word
Like a remedy to a disease
What a relief
I wrote a poem today
I was in grief
Now i am gay.
