We've Become Just A Race Of Beings Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

We've Become Just A Race Of Beings

History leaves us with no class but sadness
No smart gait but a dreary stance
We've been left too traditional
To the extent that we are dying in ideological negativity

We're just a race of beings
Humility, trustworthiness, n' modesty we've despised
The subversive culture, catapulted to the fore of our reasoning
With overt manipulation of semantics
And here we are, a civilization drowning in moral relativism

We've become just a race of beings
Learning nothing from the dark days of history
With no absolute reasoning or concrete decisiveness
Our thoughts are but a kite in the vast open skies of moral decay
Because we've become but just a race of beings
