A very thought provoking piece Fay, Mondays are miserable days, back to work days and they used to be washday so maybe that would be the reason for hoping it was dry, good writing, 10 Lynda xx

Yeah, you & me both... 'Tell me why, I don't like Mondays...' I try to see them as MON(EY) DAYS... Just got to get through this day & the next four cos this is how I pay the bills AND better still, for the weekends, to go out & have a ball ; -)

This is a delightful and astute poem about those rainy Mondays that so often get our week off to a dreary start, Fay. A rainy Monday does tend to get us down, while rain on any other weekday has little effect on us. It's something I've always wondered about, too, but have never gone far enough to write a poem about...yet! Your enjoyable write was a refreshing approach to this annoying quirk of Nature. Carl.
