HI, Keith. I enjoyed this poem. It moved me from the camaraderie of writing fellowship, through the poet's desire to write something sublime, to an incident that ended well but contrasted with another that didn't. It all pointed to the irony of the title, the transience of life, and the merit in living it with the initial bonhomie.
