We'll Be Together Again In The End Poem by Isadora Quagmire

The car is waiting, the engine sighs,
A chapter closes before our eyes.
We farewell as the shadow falls,
Answering each our duty's distant calls.


The road stretches on, a ribbon gray,
Leading you onward, far away.
My heart aches with the silent plea,
To bring you close, and keep you here with me.


But life's a journey, long and steep,
Filled with glooms where stalkers creep.
And though the miles may keep us apart,
You're ever safe within my heart.


Remember always, through the sun and rain,
God's watchful eye shall still remain.
He guides your steps, He lights your way,
And keeps you safe, another day.


So go in peace, with courage strong,
And let your spirit sing its song.
For even though this feels like a certain end,
We'll meet again, my cherished friend.


The threads of love, though seeming frail,
Will bind us close through the telling of this tale.
And when we meet, across the years,
We'll laugh and put away our fears.


And pick up where we left behind,
Two souls connected, heart and mind.
Until that day, I'll hold you near,
Within my prayers, and ever dear.


In time we will be together, friend,
In the end.
