Everyday I try to pull a little more
Of those weeds that pop up in my life.
Not knowing how they all got there
It seems… of endless dredge and strife.

Loved the title of the poem. Congratulations on this poem's selection as the Member Poem of the Day! 'Even though some have flowers disguise They are still… my weeds of sin.' - Loved these two lines particularly, for their inner meaning.
Not knowing how they all got there They are still… my weeds of sin. Being human means we have to live with certain imperfections or weaknesses or 'weeds of sins'. You have nicely dealt with the subject and asked for divine help to root out these 'sins'. Thanks & Congrats, Linda.
A creative way of explaining the difficulties and heart aches of life. Informing us that you are a survivor. May we live for today and enjoy every moment.
Congratulations for POD and well deserved! The metaphor in this write is superbly laid out well giving the reader a good sense of how weeds (sins) keep resurfacing and how we want to get rid of them! This is a very touching and powerful piece of poetry.
I really see jewels all in this poem...jewels of truth and a dignified humility, I love it!
Their roots go deep and hold on tight Deep beneath… the soil of my skin. Even though some have flowers disguise They are still… my weeds of sin. very nice and clear message, weeds of sin which we have to pluck again and again...... we are all under the influence of sin and satan.......... thank u dear poetess. tony.. congrats! ! ! for POD
Yeah, God is the only one who can save you from that undesirable weeds, Nice poem. Simple and beautiful. Congrats.
Man is sinful but God is one who forgives. A well deserved selection as members' poem of the day. Congrats.

Very insightful poem of a philosophical touch. Congrats for being the member's PoD. X
No one is perfect or without sin..but forgiveness is divine..congrats on poem of the day..
Confession of a sin is not at all easy. But It provides one a chance to be free and fair to himself as well as to others in future. Thanks a lot. I quote: @@@ my weeds of sin. No matter how I try to kill them myself They keep on coming back.
God and sin....the equation is known. To define God, sin is essential and to define sin a God will appear inevitably. Excluding last two lines the poem exposed aesthetically well. But as the catastrophe, the conventional way of importing God made the writing little bit mechanical what the preacher does every time! Anyway, write well.
Sin is being compared with weed where as skin is being compared with soil. It has been beautifully composed on the base of metaphor. We should pull out our sins from skin like weeds from soil. It may be quoted.... Their roots go deep and hold on tight Deep beneath… the soil of my skin. Even though some have flowers disguise They are still… my weeds of sin. It is a marvelous poem on life I appreciate much. Thanks for sharing congratulation for the poem of the day.
