There is a story in Hindu Mythology. Therein a king called Venan who who came up in the line of righteous ancestors tortured his subjects, ordered to worship him instead of God. The sages pleaded him not to. But on his refusal they killed him using their word power. Your beautifully crafted poem provides the same message powerfully. Congrats Rose Marie 10+

There's a saying in Tamil Nadu which means, the legacy of a grandfather will be spoilt by the grand son and all the wealth and good name will be destroyed and shamed...this is applicable to an individual family and a nation too..wealth has such power to stay well if only used properly and respectfully...a very impressive write with beautiful flow of words and expression..thank you Rose for all your comments on my poem..God bless you

But those who succeed them may be corrupt and indolent and when they come into power, they show their real nature. People will soon realize that they have been fooled by voting them into power. A well conceived current political scenario in many countries! Top marks.

Some are born with silver spoon in their mouth! Just because of their descendancy, some are placed at the helm of affairs and occupy seats of authority! Their ancestors through their relentless hard work and spotless reputation must have left a great legacy behind them.

Encaged yourself in a crib Made of glass People could not approach you Except your men in uniform And women in pumps......political observation.........this happens almost everywhere. once they are elected, they built up a golden dome and sit there to watch the poor and the needy on the street, doing nothing...... thank u for your observation. tony

Wonderful. This gives a candid picture of politics in most countries, especially in Asia. What people want is a country free of all kinds of corruption and a society where future generation is assured a secured life. Thanks for the bravely expressed poetic version of thoughts. X
