Wedding Memory
My wedding anniversary falls on 7th May
We were married on this lovely day
Even though I was trained soldier
Except hard life, I had nothing to offer
God gifted me with two lovely flowers
Many times I slowly whisper
“They are our bright future and means to live”
I nod my head and silently dream about to believe
It is almost four and half decades
That we were wed
Now it stands as golden memory
With lots of fun sans worry
“Soldier turns poet”
I laugh in corner and remain quit
Yes, time made full circle
I remained trader, farmer, soldier, union leader and now simple writer
I have witnessed many ups and down
Going slowly with journey unknown
Struggling for well being of family
It was all blessed by an almighty
Time corrects our path
Why should we wish death?
Let it come peacefully
And take us back eventually
Dear Hasmukh I add my congratulations to you for your wedding anniversary.
