Hi Sandy, Nice poem. It is true we can get hurt by many things, but unkind words do sting over and over again. I know the saying 'sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me' really was just something said as a kid to try not and allow oneself to be hurt by meanness of other kids. But it really does matter what people say. You said it so well in your poem. A kind word reallly can make someones day! Sincerely, Connie Webb
