I watch in wonder while We
Stood their emotionless, we all Wear
Black ugly gowns, waiting for The
Teacher to have us start. She pulls down her Mask
Waves at us, to get our attention, That
Makes us all pay attention, and we all Grin
No one is happy, to be up on stage And
Performing the songs, they are the fake smile that tells all the Lies,
No one wants to perform or fail a class so It
Takes us a minute to Hide
all of Our
Emotions of not wanting to be there, our Cheeks
Flushed pink, from the embarrassment And
All of the Shadows
Of our class, falling into the crowd Our
Family and friend's gaze meets my Eyes,
When will This
Night ever ends. Some kids think that Debt
Is better than this. We
Don't want to Pay
The price To
Get a bad grade. We are all Human
After all, The teacher uses her Guile;
Then gets us to start, With
Arms waving widely, her emotions Torn
Her And
Her nose starts Bleeding
With light-hearted Hearts
We continue to sing, We
Sing and smile, sing and Smile
While the teacher cleans up her nose, And
With every sound that comes out of our Mouth
Clapping from the crowd With
Cheering Myriad
Then we stop with all the Subtleties.
