We Stand With Las Vegas Poem by James Jennings

There's so many thoughts going through my head
I sit here with tears in my eyes for those who died
We stand here facing another mass shooting
Lord please bless the victims and their families
Don't let them go through this on their own
We watched the Golden Knights clinch another victory
That city rallied around their team
People from all walks of life came together to help the wounded
It showed the world that we're all Americans united
Las Vegas proved that nothing can shake it
The first responders did an amazing job that day
We stand with Las Vegas and we stand our prayers to God
Today we still show that nothing can shake our pride
The residents of Vegas have proven that they're Vegas strong
Nothing can shake their pride in their city
God bless Las Vegas and America
