We Return Like Strangers Poem by Terence George Craddock

We Return Like Strangers

at times following long absences
we return like strangers fleeting shadows
like a child new kid on the corner block
at this time of recent return to memory sites

when where we are still finding our feet
we walk time slip a little lost in past present
precious are new friends if rejected by those old
thoughts feelings mourn loss must embrace the new
