We're In Love. Right? Poem by Grant House

We're In Love. Right?

Sun sets on twenty-nineteen
She says, We're in love. Right?
That setting sun, what does it mean
More than the end of day and the beginning of night
Something's ending, it's time to move along
Something is about to start
For some it's a natural phenomenon
Others call it art
In the space between each word
Whole universes hide
Between when Love and Right? are said and heard
He is standing by her side
The space between the years
Is very very small
But in that space is wonder, energy, light, laughter, tears
In short, the multi-faceted creator of it all
When today is over
A new today begins
Each second, minute, hour
An infinity of now that never ends
Things and time are rare
The spaces much more voluminous
Animating force of all there is lives there
Light of the world, the spirit luminous
Other names for this are affinity and friendship
In their presence even space/time bends
Yes, we are in love, he assures her
But more than that, we're friends
