A vast community of loving kindness
Gathers in grief today
Hearts broken
Struggling to come to grips with the magnitude
Of a seemingly neverending trauma
Inexplicable injustice
The once again harm
Some of us in shock
Tears in disbelief
The all too familiar anger
And so much sorrow
Drawn together
We connect
Find comfort as we touch
Universal Spirit guides us
We walk in reverence
A love army arm in arm
Renewed clarity of purpose
Invincible force for good
With a renewed hope for healing
We seek not revenge
But strength to forgive
To find our voices
To calmly but powerfully cause
Lasting change for our children
And theirs
Today we gather heart to heart
Discover in our great diversity
Sacred common ground
Unified we declare
Love shall prevail
Fierce in our determination
One by one and all together
We marshal our courage
Step forward
Take action
For a better tomorrow
