We Are Waiting; Come Home Poem by mamutty CHOLA

We Are Waiting; Come Home

WE ARE WAITING; COME HOME

Parents keep waiting for children to be back home
Remain worried, till they are back home safely

Wife is worried, if husband is late from wok
Children keep asking when papa will come from work

Loved ones who are away from home or abroad
When they call, first question of parents when are you coming?

Loved ones when leave home in anger, parents are worried
Eagerly wait for their return home spending sleepless nights

When will you come home is an express of anguish and care
Of parents, wives and children for the welfare of the loved

Must have seen posters /slogans /bills on the trucks, railway station
Take care some one is waiting for you back home.

These are not mere advt but concerns and feelings of the loved
The struggles for survival are taking tolls of the loved ones

There is need to shift focus from do or die to do and enjoy
If we are not there who will take care of our loved ones

Ho man! the fame, status, wealth, postion are of no use
If we cannot live with our loved ones; you being the orbit and centre

Always remember, some one is waiting, come home
Are not only slogans but the expression of concerns
and love of your loved ones
