We Are Stories Poem by Muhammad Adnan

We Are Stories

Treading, wandering and questing
Seeker remains seeker
Cherishing dullness
Smilingly sees Maker;
Paying heed at high and low
He never blows
sharing divinity, remains mist
Such spirits are feast;
Ignoring thickness and voidity
Love and live mystery
Entangle in awe
live raw;
Handing liveliness and peace
gulping rusticality and race
ecstatically, they swing
In fickle worldly ring;
Knowing unknowable
They remain fable
Twist and toss like autumnal leaves
Click and clay of caves;
Sages since ages
wrestling cliched cages
stories sold and told
Glee and glitter in many folds.
