We All Look At Things One Might Say Differently Poem by Francis Duggan

We All Look At Things One Might Say Differently

We all look at things one might say differently
What is great to you may not seem so to me
And what is great to me to you seems ordinary
We would seem boring if on all things we did agree
Some believe what we receive from life is our due
Though looked at in a real sense this does not seem true
The homeless and hungry and those in extreme poverty
Do not deserve such an existence would you not agree?
We may beg to differ but as friends we should remain
And since your point of view is for you to retain
I for one will not try to change you in any way
Your views as good as mine does that seem fair to say
Some of us like to follow and more like to lead
But 'tis only of winners we hear of and read.
