We All Die Too Young Poem by Hebert Logerie

We All Die Too Young

Adam had a long, long life
He was 930 years old
When he died
And Eve, his beloved wife
Lived for about 930 years
Now, we all die too young
After sinning, after the flood
Noah was 950 years old
When he died
350 years after the flood
Jesus Christ was crucified at the age of 32
Lemech, his father died
At the age of 777
Said died at 969
Said was the oldest man ever
Should we blame the bloody flood
For today's early or untimely death?
Our lifespan is too short
And a lot of fools think
That they have all of the time
In the world. Living for a long
Long time should be the norm
Living for more than a century
Should be the song
That we ought to hum like a charm
We will die all too young.

P.S. I lost a very dear soul, less than a week ago.
She was a friend, aunt, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Ernest Leveque was only 104 years young.May her soul rest in peace!
