Water Pouring From The Heavens Poem by Practicing Poetess

Water Pouring From The Heavens

Rating: 5.0

Who opened the floodgates
To start this downpour?
Making it impossible
To go out-of-doors.
The trees and the bushes
Are quite green enough!
I sure didn't order
This flood of wet stuff.
I'll watch from the window,
All warm and secure
And wait out the deluge,
Until I am sure
It's safe to go out
Because I'm not a tree
I won't need my bath
'Til much later, you see.

a fun read. It has a great flow to it, and we could use a good rain here. I enjoyed this write very much. A very enjoyable play with words.

I'd send some of it your way if I could, Richard, but I'm not the weatherman! Thanks for reading and enjoying! : -)
