Aloha Terry...
IAM humbly blessed... that you have comprehended my dirge and understand my tirade... Too cool my friend, to be mentioned on the same page as this warning... expiratory date... now there's a heads up! Just as 'we' submit and accept those such 'dates' on our groceries... 'We', must admit to, and accept, that all things have and ending of use time... and we are unconscionably close to ours!
Choices, options
wasting resources
wear and tear showing
signs... deforested, polluted
dead zones... life, temperature
warnings... of the end to come...
and it will be devastatingly quick!
Thank you my brother bard... for the truths within this post... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
We are blessed and cursed to be poets, the two edged sword, the desire and need to write, when there is not enough time to write, but the words are always in our minds.
I always reference if inspired by the words of another poet, I like to have a record of what first sparked poems which do not come from nowhere and dedicating is a wonderful acknowledgement. The above poem would not exist if Michael Walkerjohn had not written 'Ornaments', so the ripples are precious and bless us both.
Actually I have no friends who follow or are interested in poetry, not a single kiwi follower of any of my writing, therefore my poet friends on poemhunter.com are precious for me, and although my are busy and often communicate infrequently, our poet friends are important.
So Michael my brother bard, I am going to add you to my friends list and hope you will add me also. Warmest Regards my friend, blessings upon all the beautiful people within your cycle of life and power to you pen :)
