Wasn't Then But Guilty Now Poem by soren Barrett

Wasn't Then But Guilty Now

A rose picked, a gesture of love, now a flower wilted in a prison of glass
Game for the table in shooting a dove, hunger satisfied by death in the grass
A tender stroke, a stolen kiss, a prisoner of love with no escape
Trust broke in gesture remiss, blind hunger's affection dove and flower did rape
