Was There Ever A Void? Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Was There Ever A Void?

Was there ever
a void?
The void?

When time and space
already were—
filled by the truth,
with the truth,
the truth
from eternity—
which has no beginning.

The unknown.
As it is now.
As it will be
in tomorrows—
dark and fearful,
bright and calm—both.

As it is now.
As it will be
in tomorrows.

The truth is known
only by the truth.
For there is nothing
but the truth—
to meditate,
to contemplate—
to know
the truth.

That which fills
time and space.

"Void, " by name,
is but a misadventure—
a stretch of imagination,
a chase of speculation
beyond limits,
while the truth—
of and about—
time and space—
remains unknown.

Chasing shadows—
a fool may try,
but never
capture.

To learn the truth
of existence,
to achieve cognition,
is our fitrah—
the fitrah of divine gnostics,
and inquisitive philosophers.

The void—nothingness—
cannot be conceived.
For the truth is pre-eternal—
the cause of all causes.

Being ever-present,
there is, in truth,
no void.

Death—only a veil
over eternal life.
Destruction—only a veil
over perennial creation.

Damnation—
the void—
a mysterious place.

If you get stuck there,
it leads you far, far away
from spiritual growth.

It will not lead you
to true gnosis—
‘Ilm Ladunni and Hikmah—
but to your own
spiritual death.

You will never know—
until you step out
of the supposed void.
