Incredibly imaginative.....always like the use of colour imagery...and the idea of a swan becoming a warrior is a very entertaining thought. Although I am not a big fan of rhyme I would still like to see this in print on paper somewhere.

Very nicely put! One usually thinks of swans in terms of their graceful beauty, not their courage, so the title really intrigued me, and I had to read on. If this was really your 'first poem, ' you got off to a 'flying start! ' And I'm glad you are still 'flying! '

Virtually flawless metreing/fluxion....Intriguing storyline...One thought: (a matter of flavor) i'd like to see the 5th stanza, as your closing stanza....despite the fact that you would be closing out without the title re-appearing as was a good choice. Overall, solid cratsmanship. ~ FjR ~ ..2008..

Quite interesting looking both to the past and into the future. I particularly favor these lines: 'Whatever thoughts may plague me, I've wings to fly away.'

The swan, such beauty, such grace, spread your wings and fly. Sail on the wind, soar through the air and look down upon those who try to humble you. Great write. Andrew

Your title captured me and your poem took me to Sherwood Forest. Imagining some adventurous young man on a journey to fulful his true destiny but with heavy heart, disapointment and optimism in his quiver. Thank you (10 from me)

Okay... Warrior Swan - but Wolfey of course you have not missed your calling... I'm just worried for the swan... don't they get dizzy going full circle? I hope the colours do not turn to sepia turns of grey for you this time
