Surprised they weren't using dolphins I guess that came later I cant help but wonder what was in the minds of all these animals witnessing the brutality of war. yet another interesting poetic discourse in history.
Thank you for bringing this horrific fact to our attention. Apparently about 8 million horses died, in the cruelest ways, along with mules and donkeys, dogs and pigeons, as you have highlighted.
