Yips! .. Heh, An awesome response to these difficulties! .. Excellently written! .. Adorably done! .. Definite 5 Stars! ..+++++
Oh, game on PH, we shall see who wins- -PH or I- - so again I change the wording and I cry: Oh, double dear, I replied yesterday and twice today and yet again my reply has flown away. I hope they are having an excellent adventure, PH dudes wherever replies disappear to in whatever latitudes....so touching and impressive. Your grief has been expressed in a funny manner. A beautiful poem on posting nicely executed.10
I do try to have a sense of humor about these minor [? ] irritations- -it helps to keep my little boat sailing along happier seas!
We have all been there! This wonderful site called Poem Hunter is not always very wonderful. You have spoken for all of us Susan with such poetic beauty and eloquence! Well done my friend!
I have found that it helps my temper to write about these frustrations because as soon as it is posted my irritation is just a tiny smudge on the corner of page 458 in a book of a trillion pages! ! ! Thank you for enjoying it- that was its goal.
How frustrating posting can be at the best and worst times. Where did that comment go? Those elusive little words that disappeared had they taken on a life and meaning of their own and ran away with that? . Will they ever be seen again? A humorous write that also imparts a sobering thought of losing that lengthy thoughtful comment.
I had to rid myself of the growing frustration somehow! ! ! So I took the humorous approach. I should free myself more often of that anger beneath the surface boiling away in a witch's cauldron! It is much better for the health of my soul and the ideal of world peace ;)
A second (and even third and fourth) reading, and I appreciate this more and more every time. There's something here that reminds me that a word is like a world. Both can be exclusive. Both can send that same message- access denied! A ten the first time, and again a 10+++
I'm glad you enjoyed this so much you read it again and had fun with it again as well as finding a deeper meaning. I had fun writing it - -and releasing some frustration in a better way than taking a hammer to the computer! To read this again- -wow! - You're a good PH buddy, Mj! ! ! !
Focussed and factual. Great work, very realistic description. You have a wonderful way with words. Thanks for sharing Susan.
Had fun getting my irritation out of my heart- - and in a way that would amuse and not irritate my kind and innocent readers!
not that friend, I say you won. PH couldn't censored this poem :)
they were very kind and let this one through! ! ! after all, I didn't call down thunder on their heads or anything! !
LOL! Yes, we can all relate to your challenging frustrations. Dear Bharati may or may not have received your comments....she may have gotten them in triplicate...but delayed. This was fun and I loved the pace. Thanks for sharing your talented writing, sense of humor, and determination...all great qualities in a poet and a poet.
I had the most fun imaginable getting rid of my irritation in a bit of humor! ! ! I am glad to see it made you laugh- that made up for a few of those frustrating days on PH! ! ! !
I have had the same experience more than once and felt frustrated and irritated... But I couldn't express my feelings in a poem. You have transferred your experience into a fine write! When I read this, I felt comforted at the thought that we are birds of a same feather and this is not ones's singular experience! However I enjoyed this beautifully rhyming poem with a pinch of humour! The title, I particularly enjoyed. Thanks for sharing! Susan, you deserve top marks!
Like you, I like to rant with laughter! ! ! Gets the ire out of my system without turning me into an unpleasant whiner! ! I'm glad you enjoyed this, Valsa, your enjoyment gives its existence validation!
I agree. This is absolutely brilliant. Reminds me of a mash-up of HG Welles and Dr. Seuss....Brilliant!
hahahahahahahahahaha. Thank you very much for that comment! ! ! I like it when comments tickle me so much I almost fall off the chair laughing. You always encourage, my friend.
Sorry, Susan, I noticed the poem only now, thanks to the truant ph. Thank you for echoing the sentiments of all of us any venting our anger and frustration. We standby you in the war on ph. Of course, we would win! And enjoyed the sarcasm, the humour and the poetry, Queen Susie!
You make me laugh! ! ! ! We have to have fun with these situations or get all angry and hurt our health so after subtracting a few years of my life by ranting and raving, I joked about it in verse form.
As of now, it means 9 persons commented on your poem (excluding your replies) ,7 voted or rated, and all of them gave you the maximum score of 10. Your standing therefore is 5/5, (10/10 in the previous system) i.e.100 per cent.
I did get the math of it- -but didn't get that lonely number hanging outside the parenthesis because I didn't subtract my replies to the comments. Since 10 is still available, I guess I will utilize it when I really like something, and 9,8,7,6 as I feel the number.... if this is their idea of a great system, I think they should alter their chart of numbers available but hey, what do I know, I'm just a member who is using the amenities of this site... ;)
I laughed my way all through this piece. I was having the same experience, but a less poetic sort of response issued from my frustration. Your lines reminded me of a time the airline lost my luggage and it returned some weeks later having gone on a cruise without me. I hope you at least got double points for all that. :)
Hahahahahaha. Well, no, what I got and I fear a lot of other PH members was a huge slaughter of their poems' ratings! Yikes! ! ! Makes me wonder what the glitch is.... OOps, I just saw Madathil's comment just below yours.... UGH... I really like the larger scale of scores available.... Sigh.... I am beginning to wish I had gone on vacation with your luggage...
PH has changed their rating system - now the maximum is 5 (not 10 like before) , i.e. if your rating is 5, it means 5/5, not 5/10. So your standing has not suffered. Please don't panic.
I can see how that is working on this poem but what is with that last number after the parenthesis? ? ? I really like the larger scale of scores available.... I am soooooooooo picky that way....
PH I believe was having some problems in recent days and invariably all of us poets suffered. Some of the poems were not opening at all. I hope the issues have now been addressed and everything is well with PH and its poets. I am sure all your comments that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle have reappeared. Humorous write, indeed.
Oh, dear, oh dear, PH ia at it again. Whatever you do, DON'T look at the rating of your poems! They have taken a nose dive if they are like my rankings. This poem had a 10/10 out of 5 votes yesterday. Today it is a 5/10 after being given at least one more ten. Same thing happened to another poem of mine and one of Nosheen's. Sigh. I hate to go read one of yours and find your numbers have been shot down. Hopefully they can rectify the situation.
Hahaha. Susan it's a great one. Almost all of us have experienced it, thanks to some issues with the site. But it's quite amazing that you have turned it all into a wonderful poem that brings a smile to reader's face. I truly enjoyed reading it.10
I'm glad you enjoyed this! ! ! I was getting so irritated as the days passed and I couldn't use the site that I made myself feel better about the situation by making fun of it. May we all find relief at the situation by laughing at it. :) Thank you for the 10. Though by now you have noticed PH has messed up with the ratings our poems have received.... sigh.
This is how all of us have been treated by PH in the last week. I have written so many comments that never showed up (error to origin, etc.) and clicked on poems of friends only to get 'The page cannot be displayed' and so on. Very well done. Hopefully, this comment WILL show up. I will try now. here goes...
It is a MIRACLE! ! ! Your comment has landed on the branch you sent it to... wow! ! ! But before you get excited, check out the ratings on your poems. They are messed up in all likelihood- mine are, Nosheen's are, Madathil's are. I shudder to think what goes down next....
Oh I just love it when a mood steers a poem....yes I do! Why? , because it plows through fallowed pages and reveals what could have been, I love your wit...wherever replies disappear into whatever latitudes..... ;) ...oh that clever smile is the last word being said.......very nice Susan! ! !
I'm so glad you enjoyed the read, Bill. I enjoyed writing myself into a better mood! I don't do end line rhymes [basically cuz I am shabby at them] but attempting them with humorous poems seems a bit easier for me. Almost got a rhythm going in it too. Almost.... ;)
Very wonderful posting is shared with feelings of past and present. Exactly expressed from depth of mind. Wise sharing! ...10
I don't know if it was wise but I do know it released a lot of stress! ! ! So glad you enjoyed. And thank you for the 10! ! ! ! !
A wonderful analytical brief write!
