In the midst of war, the world stands still
As bombs rain down, and cities are killed
The conflict rages on, fueled by hate
And innocents suffer, at an alarming rate
Famine grips the land, as crops fail
And hunger spreads, like a deadly ail
The children cry out, in desperate need
As the world looks on, with little heed
Mothers mourn, their babies lost
And fathers weep, at such a cost
The world is shaken, to its core
As death and destruction, take their score
But amidst the chaos, there's a glimmer of light
A chance for peace, to end the fight
To heal the wounds, and ease the pain
And start anew, with love again
Let's rise above, the hate and fear
And work towards, a future clear
Where war and conflict, are no more
And famine and hunger, are shown the door
