Wanting To Go Home Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Wanting To Go Home

Rising sounds of music taking a place in voices of people
sitting about, talking and enjoying precious times of a
lifetime being recorded in a photographic mind tonight.

Restless thoughts backing up in the throes of another life,
left behind so many years ago, wanting to go home, holding
you in these lonely arms.

Wishing you were still here with me, my dear, missing all
we had gone through all these years, but now you're gone
forever and I'm left alone to grieve.

A heart felt grief. Yes memories often come back everytime and we never wish to leave the loved ones but are only left back with grief.
