CHU SAI: Crossing The Border Song No.2 (of 2)
-- WANG CHANGLING (c.698 - 756)
-- Translated by Frank C Yue

On my fierce steed, I fought astride a new jade saddle white;
Now, as the battle ends -- the sands shine cold this moon-lit night,
Sounds from iron drums on battlements are still resonating,
Down the scabbard, blood on my golden sword's penetrating.
