Very unique style and I have to commend you for it. -Just love the 'i hung a mirror..' strangely amusing. ^_^ sorry if it wasn't meant that way.
The hanging of the mirror is a metaphor for redirecting examination. The speaker in the poem has reached a point where things are so bad that it's perhaps time, not to look at the effects of the situation (the hole in the wall) , but to obscure that from view for the time being (hang something over it) and do some self-examination - to look at herself (the mirror) to find the source of the troubles.
