Walking Through Nigeria Poem by Michael James Ajani

Walking Through Nigeria

Isaja, isaja, na ham, na ham, don't point it's not me, case closed.
Government officials, Asiwaju in Chatham, journalist outside meeting held, door closed.
Where's the chance? Renewed rope, drowning hope, are we cursed?
I was kidding to have said we're winning straight until comes subsidy naira devalued, dollar rised.

Pick one, pick two all the same new strategy, modern trick.
Midyear 2023 was so tough who knows what's comes 2024? look up clouds we see, God we seek.
As e dey go, angry mob don kill barao, wahala, wahala waking up to bad news daily, crack.
James ibori and British prosecutors on Nairaland is another topic.

Fuel price hike, tuition hike policies inflicting hardship on Nigerians, can we still endure?
Is our hope still on the government? Oops, they that loose their wild pet snakes, monkeys to feed on national treasure.
Should we hope in the youths, those that have been enticed with the things of the world, earning money at their leisure.
Matter getting serious, military zone keep off, Olorun atijo god fatherism still dey involve injustice to the core, there's too much pressure.
