Walking My Daughter Down The Aisle

Rating: 5.0

🌹🌹Walking My Daughter Down the Aisle🌷🌷

Wedding Day, Lake Tahoe,2001

Walking my daughter down the aisle,
Oh how very painful that was for me.
For in all her resplendent bridal glory,
Only a lovely child I could see!

The sweet little girl jumping rope,
Or the days she played Mommy.
She was and still is,  my angel child.
I got number and number with step we took.

I felt truly that my world was ending.
Then that moment, oh that moment.
That final kiss as a Mommy~~
And yes, I gave my angel child away!

Those days of Cheerios, cartoons and candy,
No more bubble baths or combing her hair.
In a split second,  vanished,
Like rainbow bubbles lifted heavenward,
Into the warmth of the Lake Tahoe air.

The love of a mother. Your precious is still alive for you though married. Beautiful touching poem.
