Walking In Rain Poem by Saroj Padhi

Walking In Rain

Rating: 5.0

On these miles I walk in rain
in dawn's semi-dark jungle,
weave many a tale
of life's happy refrain,
wet leaves flutter around feet
like anklets of damsels
sending shivers of joy
thro' each vein
numbing old aches in cells
a new spirit to enliven;

lightning sweeps across the distant sky
causing fire of love in heart of thunders
drops drench body and soul
in simple water working great wonders;

I walk with the fragrance of
some sweet memories
nestling in the cold breeze
under the over-drunk dripping trees;
to a zero point of time
as the mind does outreach.
