It takes a human forest to know a human forest; it takes a sense of adventure to enter and breathe its mystery. Fields are under the regime of mechanical processes. They would probably object to squash plants among corn, much less trees that stand far above their horizons.
i've had communications with Denis Mair before (see his comment below) . i don't understand his poems well either! ha ha. bri :) on to another poet, young man!
