Waking Up Poem by Rustiq Joy

Waking Up

Waking up to the unbridled truth
I have it bad for you.
Once smitten, twice shy?
Once smitten, the euphoria
Sets in. Strap me in
Lest I fly a thousand miles high;
Lest I fail to see the world around me;
Its ebbs and flows, its pits and falls;
Lest I forget I'm only a woman,
You are still only a man.
The ecstasy lies in the simplicity
Of a smile, a touch, a little conversation,
Your lips on mine and the divine hand
Crafting it all.

Waking up to the unbridled truth
I have it bad for you.
I really have it bad for you.
